Divine Whisper of the Day:
“But forget all that –
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Stories from the Journey
Welcome to the blog—a space for sharing real stories, ministry moments, and personal updates from Zakeera’s life and calling.
If I had a dollar for every time God launched me into a new season before I felt ready, I’d probably have enough for a years supply of fancy lattes and a house sized weighted blanket to curl up with ☕🧺😅. Which might just be my survival kit for Seminary Year One: pray, cry, repeat… with a side of caffeine, divine intervention, and maybe a healthy dose of naps. Even when I’m unprepared, unsure, and undone—God moves in power. Readiness isn’t a requirement for God to move. Trust is! But that’s the beautiful (and slightly terrifying) thing about walking with God—He rarely waits for us to feel “fully prepared” before He starts doing something new.
Isaiah 43:18–19 has been one of those verses that catches me every time I start clinging to old habits, old comfort zones, or even old disappointments:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
It’s like God is lovingly saying, “Stop re-watching the past—I’m premiering something new!”
In every season where I’ve felt stuck, scared, or unsure, God has shown up with something unexpected—a door I didn’t knock on, a relationship I didn’t plan, a path I didn’t see coming. He’s the expert at making “a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” And trust me, I’ve done a few laps in the wilderness.
I’ve learned that stepping into a new season with God isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about trusting the One who already does. His timing might confuse me, but His faithfulness always surprises me in the best way.
So if you’re in the middle of your own wild “what now?” moment—stay tuned. God is definitely up to something, and I can’t wait to share more of what He’s unfolding in my life. This new season? It’s just getting started. 💫✨
When in doubt, Trust in the Lord and BE STILL!
